Meet Que, The Heart Behind NSQ

What began with a lighthearted suggestion from my oldest son during a family dinner has evolved into more than I could have ever imagined. My journey started small - grilling chicken and ribs at SMYFFL games, learning and perfecting my craft with each weekend of concessions.

From those humble beginnings with a 14-foot trailer, we've grown in ways I never expected. As word spread and demand grew, so did we – upgrading to a 32-foot mobile smokehouse and eventually transforming the former Johnny Boy's BBQ spot into The Meat Shack, our private commercial kitchen. Today, you'll find us catering weddings across the DMV, working festivals up and down the East Coast, hosting pop-ups at The Meat Shack, and bringing great food to all kinds of celebrations – from intimate baby showers to large company picnics.

Every wedding we cater is personal to me. I work directly with each couple because I believe your special day deserves more than a standard menu – it deserves care, attention, and food that tells your story.

 

I'm forever grateful to my late in-laws, Kevin and Rhonda Robinson, who believed in this dream from day one. Their support helped make NSQ what it is today, and their spirit of generosity guides how we serve every client.
